Design Process
For Project Hermes, we were working with the students of DCIS and the department faculty themselves, we there was minimal need for research, especially since the deadline for the live website was within 2 weeks, so the design phase took only 1 week to complete as the main goal was to create a working MVP for the students. With the short time frame, I focused on highly intuitive features for the students and the admin.
Branding was a no-brainer since we were following the student council's branding concept. Feature planning took two days to figure out to make sure that everything the students needed were visible in Project Hermes, which was a queueing system, queue tracking, and seeing the coordinator's availability. The faculty's needs were also addressed as they are able to update their status on the site, pause the queue, and track the queue size.
